I think that would be "The Rock" in 2001. "Kickin' Out the Footlights Again" in 2006 with Merle had a few new duets by them on it but the rest they sang each others songs. "Hits I Missed and One I Didn't" in 2005 were all previous recorded songs.

Mr. Jones, think it's time for some new songs, PLEASE!

THE CRACKER BARRELL CD HAS PREVIOUS SONGS PLUS 2 NEW SONG, '' I DONT WANT TO KNOW'' [ THE CLIP OF THIS SONG ON THE MAIN PAGE SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT SONG] , AND A NEW RECORDING OF '' IM A LONG GONE DADDY''. THIS SONG WAS FIRST ON HIS '' TOO WILD TOO LONG '' RELEASE ON EPIC RECORDS BACK IN THE 1987.

So George will be going back into the recording studio for this CD. Right?

That's what it says in the article about the new CD on the Home page.

Actually i'm pretty sure the new cracker barrel CD yes does have mostly previously recoreded tracks that had been issued on albums in previous years. However "I dont wanna know" and "I'm a long gone daddy" were previously recorded, I dont wanna know was never released and "I'm a long gone daddy" was only on the Album "Too Wild Too Long"...but both of those songs were re-recoreded for the cracker barrel album so its actually a recent recording of those songs not the one's from the 70's and 80's. And George performed both of those songs at his concert last weekend at the Indian Ranch that i attended. Pretty good stuff.
