That sounds great ! I'm surprised it hasn't happened before. I only hope they cover his life up until now and not just focus on the early day as so many of them do.

this is what i read In other news, Nancy reveals they’ve been working with a writer on a movie about George’s life and are in talks with two companies about making the film. So just who would portray the Possum and his wife? “Johnny Depp would be good,” Nancy says, suggesting an actor to play George. “Wynonna’s sister, Ashley Judd, she could play me.”
“Whoever we get, I want them to be on the road with us and see how you act,” George says, looking at his wife of 27 years with a big grin. “Lee Ann Womack could be Tammy. That would be cool

In a picture I found they compared the young George to Jim Carrey. He looks a lot like the young George. I don't know aboout how he would do with the acting because, I've not watched too many of his movies. Just a thought

Well, I never was a Jim Carrey fan until I saw "Man In the Moon" or "Man on the Moon"--whatever the title was of the movie about the life of Andy Kaufman. I think Jim did an EXCELLENT job playing Andy, and it proved he could do more than just goofy comedy. He nailed it, and I'm sure he could do a good job playing George, too.

If he can sing that would be a good choice. I never like it when they lip sync.

I'm not a fan of lip-synching, either; however, in this case, I'd make an exception. Reason: While I've heard people do some half-way decent George impersonations, I've never heard anyone do a CONVINCING one. Same deal with Elvis impersonators. When movies about Elvis were made, many of them used Ronnie McDowell to do the singing. He's good--very good--but you could tell it wasn't Elvis. If someone is to play a convincing George, and had to do their own singing, I'm afraid no one out there could do the job. So, in this case, I'd rather hear the REAL George singing. No one else can do it like he can!!
