I heard a Christmas song on wsm radio last night by George that I had never heard before. It was his early years cause I almost didn't realize it was him til they said it. It was really cute. It was something about "Momma was a twistin with ole Santa clause." Anyone else hear it? or have have heard it before. I love george singing Christmas songs. Wish he would make a release of his old ones he has done before. Hope everyone here has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

It is called "My Mom and Santa Claus" He recorded and released it twice, once for United Artists on 45 (# 530) and once for Musicor on 45 (# 1339). It has appeard on a couple various artist Christmas cd compilations over the years. Neither version ever appeared on a Jones album

On the 1962 version he says "twisting with Santa Claus" and the 1968 version "dancing with Santa Claus". The twist was a popular dance in the 60's. The 1962 version always reminds me of my niece, she was about 3 years old and loved that song.
