I hadnt seen anyone mention it on here, but i saw where Carl Smith passed away Jan 16.
I always think about the time he was on Funny Business with Charlie Chase and the Riders in the Sky on TNN when the played a joke on Ol' George by rustling a couple of Georges cows he had at the farm and Carl tried to sell them back to George.
When George finally figured out somethinf was wrong he said '' What the hells goin' on here"!! ha was so funny

He was a great legend! Another one gone! I read about it and meant to post it but, I forgot to.

I loved so many of his songs, especially "Old Lonesome Times"

Another legend is gone.. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time..
