Dear Possum Friends:

Special Promotions Inc, owner and promoter of the famous COLGATE COUNTRY MUSICSHOWDOWN is joining forces with George Jones University to offer tuition scholarship opportunities to approximately 300 national radio stations which are promoting this year’s showdown. The Colgate Showdown is the largest and longest running amateur Country Music talent contest in the world. In its almost 25 years of existence, such major artists as Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood and Billy Ray Cyrus and come through its competitive ranks. Its vast radio station network is being encouraged to offer tuition scholarships to GJU sessions taking place in 2007 and 2008.
“We couldn’t be happier with an association than we are with this one,” said GJU Dean Tandy Rice. “The Colgate Showdown is one class operation and represents a great opportunity for aspiring artists to break into the big time in Nashville.”
This also means that already limited space is becoming even more limited. If you wish to attend GJU III, please secure your place as soon as possible!
