by Peter Cooper - Tennessean
After a one-night stay in a Nashville hospital following what was described as a routine checkup, 79-year-old Country Music Hall of Famer George Jones is back at his Franklin home.

As of early Thursday afternoon, Jones was feeling fine, and he’d begun concerning himself with important issues, like the big NFL playoff game coming up Sunday afternoon between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers.

Follow up:

“I believe Aaron Rodgers of the Packers and Michael Vick of the Eagles are the best that have come along in a long time,” Jones said. “I think the Eagles, with home field advantage and home field noise will have to be my pick. So pick Vick, quick.”

Jones is set to be back on a Nashville stage come March 12, when he performs at the Ryman Auditorium. Tickets to that 8 p.m. show run $29.50, $39.50 and $49.50. More info at Ryman.com.
