National concert special on PBS to feed Thanksgiving Night

Nashville, TN November 10… Country music legend, George Jones, celebrates his 50th anniversary as a recording artist with a little help from his friends on the PBS broadcast, “George Jones, 50 Years of Hits: A Soundstage Special Event.” The two-hour all-star tribute feeds Thanksgiving night, Thursday, November 25 at 10pm ET. * Several PBS stations will air one-hour a version of the program Thanksgiving night; each market will air the full two-hour version in December or January (Check local listings). This year to raise money for Tim McGraw’s Swampstock charity event George Jones donated an Autographed T-Shirt!!
Tim McGraw partnered with CMTauctions for the Swampstock 2004 online charity auction, which began September 7th. All profits from the Swampstock 2004 charity online auction benefited some of Tim’s favorite hometown charities in the Rayville, Louisiana area.
Georgette Jones, daughter of George Jones and Tammy Wynette, has just released her debut CD, The First, But Not The Last. It features the singles “Stone Country", “When Tractors Fly” and “Better A Painful Ending” (duet with Mark McGuinn)
